Pendle is a great place for families to spend quality time together. If its fresh air you’re after why not try one of the Family Cycle Rides? Or for some high octane fun, test your skills at Prestige Karting – one of the largest indoor karting centres in northern England with its professionally designed 360 metre race track.

For a complete contrast visit the beautiful Thornton Hall Farm. This is a real working farm where you can get up close to rare breed cattle, sheep, llamas, deer, ponies and lots more. With loads to see indoors too this is perfect for all the family whatever the weather!

And if you do fancy getting wet, take the plunge at the newly re-developed Wavelengths Centre. With its six lane pool with wave machine, water slide, Fitness Zone and range of classes and activities for all ages this is a great place to burn off some calories.

If this still isn't enough to tire out the kids, take them along Likkle Monkeys or Giddy Kippers. The latter has areas set aside for all ages from baby and toddlers upwards, there is everything from 4 lane astra slide, ball cannons, splat pads, spiral tube slides and much more. There is also a Sportszone - brilliant for football, basketball or rounders.
