The Mining Museum has one of the most extensive collections of lead mining artifacts in the north of England. The museum, which is housed in The Old Grammar School, displays a comprehensive range of exhibits covering the mining dressing and smelting of lead and the extraction of other minerals in the Yorkshire Dales. It contains the largest collection of Dales mining relics in the world. There are brand new displays and exhibits with fully illustrated storyboards. The museum has disabled access, a cafe and gift shop.
