From witches’ banquets to finding edible fungi you can eat some amazing food in Pendle. Pendle is playing a big part in the yearly Pennine Lancashire Festival of Food and Culture which is supported by HRH the Prince of Wales.

The month long Festival takes place from 17 August - 17 September and last year it attracted over 30,000 visitors. It celebrates all the great food and cultural traditions which Pennine Lancashire has to offer. The Festival is supported locally by Pendle Council and is co-ordinated across Pennine Lancashire by Elevate.

Our leader for tourism, Councillor Allan Buck said:

"Whether you're lucky enough to live in Pendle - or are coming for a visit, this is a great time to sample the very best and eat royally. Don't forget to enjoy our wonderful countryside at the same time," he urged.

"The event connects with our Pendle Walking Festival from 5th to 13th September which brings people here from all corners of the UK ," he explained.

"If you over-indulge at any of these events - you can walk the calories off in our breath-taking countryside," he added.

Dates, times and all the details on events in Pendle are available in the full brochure from the Discover Pendle Centre at Boundary Mill, Barnoldswick Tourist Information Centre or the Pendle Heritage Centre.
