Timeless magic will be sprinkled over Colne as the Muni welcomes ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ - a musical pantomime written, directed and produced by George Critchley for PMA Productions Ltd.
The first pantomime version of The Sleeping Beauty was performed at Drury Lane in 1806. Two centuries later, PMA Productions take on the story.
A magical castle deep in the dark forest, a handsome prince, a beautiful sleeping princess, a fairy and a very wicked witch, are all the traditional ingredients for this famous, favourite fairytale.
Your little people will recognise Shorelle Hepkin from CBBC’s ‘Wolfblood’, who takes on the role of the fairy, and we are very happy to announce that for the tenth year, comedy genius Keith De’ Winter returns to star as Nurse Nanny! Hollyoaks’ Darren John Langford will also be returning to the Muni, this time to play the part of Lord Chamberpot!
Of course the show wouldn’t be complete without George Critchley, who returns for his 19th consecutive season to play the part of Simple Simon – no make-up required!
