Come along to watch brave soapbox racers hurtle down a huge ramp outside the town hall, all the way down Albert Road, to the finish line outside Tubbs of Colne, at The Colne BID Super Soapbox Challenge.
It'll be a great day out for all the family, with continual commentary and all the action visible on large format screens. As well as the excitement on the course itself, there'll be a funfair, live music and lots of food and drink concessions to choose from. Watch out for the celebrity guest. Don't forget, for spectators, this is a free community event, so you really have no excuse not to be there.
For the safety of both participants and attendees, the entire course will have security fencing and hay bales in place.
Colne, PendleColne is an ancient market town steeped in history (parts of the parish church date back to the 11th century). Birthplace of Wallace Hartley (band master on the Titanic) and home of The Great British R&B Festival.
