Annual Events
Pendle is packed full of great events right throughout the year, and there is something going on every month in our area. Check out Pendle’s What’s On Search to see everything that’s going on.
The year kicks off in February with the annual Pendle Beer Festival, where you can sample some of the finest real ales. Easter is brought in with lots of great family events at Thornton Hall Farm and other venues across Pendle.
Power up for May, when one of our area’s top vehicle car shows Pendle Powerfest comes to town. June continues with lots of boat rides from Foulridge Canal Cruises, and Colne Gala. July rides out with the popular Pendle Cycle Festival, with the Cole Grand Prix Cycle Race and a number of guided cycle rides.
One of the big Summer highlights is the award-winning Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival spanning the August Bank Holiday and featuring some of the most talented bands in the world. The month also sees a number of great outdoor events, including Barnoldswick Beach, the Trawden Garden Festival, which includes a scarecrow trail, and the Trawden Show.
September is spiced up by the Nelson Food Festival, and this being witch country, Halloween is not to be missed, with activities, normally at Wycoller Country Park, as well as elsewhere. November sees a number of fantastic Christmas lights switch-on events in many towns throughout our area, including in Barnoldswick, during Lancashire Day in Nelson and at the Colne Food Festival.
