Located on the fringe of the Pendle Forest in the heart of Pennine Lancashire is the beautiful 17th century treasure The Sparrowhawk in Fence.
Originally thought to be a farmstead it boasts a famous stained glass dome whose origins are not quite clear, but whose splendour remains non the less.
With suppliers supporting our ethos to source the majority of our produce from the local area our menus reflect the diversity and flavours of Lancashire and the surrounding areas. Our skilled kitchen team then create a wide selection of dishes designed to suit both traditional and contemporary tastes which have been recognised through our achievement of the Taste Lancashire Highest Quality Assured accreditation.
Food can be accompanied by wines from our extensive wine list with examples from both the old and new world and with up to six cask ales, including regular local guest ales from breweries such as Bank Top & Bowland, we are sure to tantalise the taste buds.
With a separate function room for intimate family get togethers and delightful gardens to soak up the summer sun a visit to the Sparrowhawk is a must if you are looking for good food with warm and friendly service.
