"In Pendle's Shadow" Long Distance Walk

About

A walking/running event of about 20 miles for experienced walkers and runners which takes in Pendle Hill and the Pendleside area.

The registration and start is from Barley Village Hall and the finish is also at Barley Village Hall.

Registration is from 7.00am and the start is at 8.30am

The finish time is 4.30pm

There are seven checkpoints on the route and drinks are available at them all. Food is available at checkpoints 2, 4 & 6.

There is also a shorter walk (also for experienced walkers and runners) of about 11 miles which takes in the first half of the main walk and then returns to Barley

Hot soup served on return to Barley Village Hall.

The entry fee for the main walk is £7.00 (£9.00 on the day)

The entry fee for the short walk is £4.00

If applying by post, please enclose sae.

Entry fees include refreshments en route and food at the finish. All proceeds are for St Mary's Church, Newchurch-in-Pendle.
