Prepare to be dazzled as Camerata’s dynamic leader Giovanni Guzzo steps into the limelight as director and soloist in Mozart’s Fifth Concerto for Violin, written in Salzburg during the composer’s teenage years.

Refined, lyrical and endlessly charming, as ever with Mozart, this concerto exhibits an extraordinary maturity beyond the composer’s years. This concert also features the Adagietto from Mahler’s Symphony No.5, the composer’s beautiful love song to his wife Alma, made famous through Visconti’s film Death in Venice. Mahler’s arrangement for string orchestra of Schubert’s extraordinary 14th string Quartet, Death and the Maiden, completes the programme.
