The Pennine Cycleway is part of the National Cycle Network , and is ideal for families and beginners as its 40km route follows the towpath of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. There are many points of interest on, or close by, the route, including Pendle Heritage Centre, the historic lime kiln and canal cruises at Foulridge, and one of the prettiest locks in the country at Greenberfield.
