Higham Scarecrow Festival 2017

An exhibition of scarecrows created by the villagers of Higham and displayed in their gardens. There is a scarecrow trail to follow with a competition for guessing what each scarecrow portrays. This year the theme is 'Pantomimes and nursery rhymes'. Also a children's 'scary crows' trail.

There are usually about 60 scarecrows to be seen.Home made food is served in the village hall each day including hot lunches, sandwiches and delicious cakes. Tombola and stalls in the village hall. Plants,fruit and veg and ice creams for sale. On Sunday there is Morris dancing at 1:30 and 2:30 and a brass band at 3:30. On Monday there will be a Farmers Market. There is also a second hand book sale in the village church. There is a small children's funfair on the village recreation ground. A wonderful family day out.
