Stanley is the only guest at Meg and Petey’s boarding house, so his birthday party is looking like being sparsely attended.

Luckily, two friends from the past turn up with a local girl, Lulu, the celebrations are a bigger event than Stanley ever expected.

The Birthday Party is Harold Pinter as his most darkly comic.
