Roman coin hoards have speckled our landscape even between our own East Lancashire and Blackpool.

In this talk by Adrian Lewis you will see slides of some of the home grown examples and also some extremely fine pieces from Blackburn Museum's Hart Collection, including exotic coins from Roman Egypt.

You will notice how the Romans suffered, like us, from inflation.
You will see faces of emperors who governed our ancestors and understand how a respected republic came to be tricked into regarding itself as a theocracy ruled by God.
