The Big Witch Event takes place in the village of Barley on August 18th 2012. A major event to mark the 400th anniversary of the Pendle Witches it is actually many events in one. It starts with the Pendle Witch Walk, a charity event organised and run by the Pendleside Hospice. Details and joining up information for the walk can be found at www.pendlewitchwalk.co.uk. This family event will raise funds for the Hospice. This is followed by an official Guinness World Record attempt at the largest gathering of people dressed as witches. Email us at the address here if you wish to take part. The event will conclude with a rousing outdoor "Concert under the Hill" with diverse bands such as Vicky and The Big Combo, The Lancashire Sinfonietta, and Russell Shaun with his swing band.
