There are many things to see and do in the area, and here's just some great reasons to come to Pendle....
Amazing views all round Wherever you go in Pendle there are amazing views all around. Be inspired by walking up Lancashire's icononic natural landmark Pendle Hill like famous author Tracy Chevalier. Boulsworth and Weets Hills also offer stunning views and you can find their routes on Pendle's Three Peaks guide
Fantastic walking Whatever your ability we have a walk for you. We have great family-oriented short walks, some medium walks, and a number of more challenging walks, like the Pendle Way
Fabulous cycling Cycle the canals on our family friendly cycle trails, get a real buzz racing round the track at the Steven Burke Hub without a car in sight! The track features a BMX circuit. Or try some of our more challenging cycling routes, like the Grand Cycle Tour of Pendle or our section of the original Tour of Britain Route
Superb family fun Spot "Which witch is which" and marvel at our Mythical Creatures, including our unicorn, at the terrific Pendle Sculpture Trail. Find your inner Lewis Hamilton at Prestige Karting, make a splash at Wavelengths, with its big slide and wave machine, and climb our many climbing walls at the Leisure Box. Or why not go wild down on the farm at Thornton Hall Country Park?
Go Golf and spa No doubt you will never tire of the stunning views, but if you do want to take it easy there's an amazing facility, the Inside Spa, which will invigorate your mind and body, leaving you refreshed. Pendle also has a number of golf courses, including Marsden Park Golf Course and Colne Golf Course. There's also lots of great Leisure Activities at our sports centres and pools
Great evening entertainment In the evenings you can relax by taking in Colne's fine Restaurant Quarter, and after have a trip to the Pendle Hippodrome or the Colne Muni with its sparkling range of entertainment.
Shop 'Til you Drop Pendle has a great range of shops. Boundary Mill has a huge store here, as does Pendle Village Mill. Big brand heaven! If you're drawn more to niche-style shopping the village of Barrowford is a must, as are the nearby towns of Barnoldswick and Colne.
Top Heritage sites Heritage is never far away in Pendle, with the Pendle Witches, as well as museums that offer a real taste of the past, like the Pendle Heritage Centre, a terrific historic house and garden, and Bancroft Mill, with its massive 30ft Flywheel, still driven by steam. Pendle is different and quirky. Nowhere epitomises this more than the British in India Museum.
Simply Inspirational Pendle has inspired many photographers and artists, a number of whose works you can see displayed in local galleries, like Higherford Mill, and the Keith Melling Gallery. Nature and art are so intertwined here. Nowhere is this more apparent than on the Pendle Sculpture Trail or at Wycoller Country Park, with its stunning sculpture called The Atom. There's also the new sculpture trail at Letcliffe Park
